Protection

Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created. However, registration is possible and provides prima facie evidence of creation and authorship of the work in case of conflict or legal proceedings. 

Duration: during the lifetime of the author, plus 50 years after his death; for photographic pictures, cinematographic films, other audiovisual works, for works published anonymously or under unknown pseudonym, and for works which are published for the first time after the author’s death the duration is 25 years from publication.
