Protection

Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created. However, registration is possible, but is purely voluntary and the Law specifies no particular benefits to registration. 

Duration: (a) for a sole author: the lifetime of the author, plus 50 years after his death; (b) for multiple authors: lifetime of the last surviving author plus 50 years after his death; (c) for published anonymous, pseudonymous, collective, audiovisual, and posthumous works, published within fifty years of their creation: 75 years from the end of the calendar year of the year of publication; (d) for anonymous, pseudonymous, collective, audiovisual, and posthumous works which have not been published within fifty years of their creation: 100 years from the end of the calendar year of their creation.
