Protection

Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created. However, registration is possible and provides important benefits such as proof of ownership. 

Duration: (a) in case the author is a physical person, the duration of protection is from the date of creation to 50 years following the end of the calendar year of the author's death; (b) in case the work is published in the name of a company, the duration of protection is from the date of publication of the work to 50 years following the end of the calendar year of the publication.
