Protection

Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created. 

Duration: (a) during the lifetime of the author, plus 70 years after his death; (b) for audio-visual works, collective works, applied arts, performers, producers of sound recordings: 95 years starting from the first day of the Gregorian calendar year following the year during which these works were legally published for the first time. If such works were not published during twenty-five years starting from the date they were completed, the economic rights of these works shall be protected for 120 years starting from the first day of the Gregorian calendar year following their creation; (c) for works published anonymously or under a pseudonym, the economic rights of the works are protected for 95 years starting from the first day of the Gregorian calendar year following the year during which these works were published for the first time. If such works were not published during twenty-five years starting from the date of completion, the economic rights of these works are protected for 120 years starting from the first day of the Gregorian calendar year following their creation; (d) for broadcasting programs of broadcasting organizations for 25 years following the year during which the program was broadcasted for the first time.
