There is at present no legislation in force in Qatar with respect to designs. Note: Qatar issued Law No. 10 of 2020 on the Protection of Industrial Designs on April 19, 2020, and the implementing regulations are expected to be issued in the near future.

The only possibility to obtain (some) protection is by way of publication of so-called cautionary notices in the Arabic and English languages in local newspapers.
