Protection

Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created. However, a certificate of copyright registration can be used as prima facie evidence of copyright ownership. 

Duration: (a) during the lifetime of the author, plus 50 years after his death; (b) for cinematographic works, photographic works, works of applied art and annonymous works, the protection period is 75 years from the date of first publication; (c) for cinematographic works, photographic works, works of applied art unpublished within twenty-five years from the date of fixation, the protection period is 100 years as from the date of fixation; (d) for anonymous works, when information on their authors is published, for the whole life of the (last) author and 50 years after his death.
