Country code top-level domain name: .al
Sub-domains: .com.al; .edu.al; .gov.al; .org.al; .net.al; .mil.al
Applicant: individuals and legal entities.
Restriction as to nationality: none.
Local presence: no longer required for top-level .al domains, however, for the sub-domains .com.al; .edu.al; .gov.al; .org.al; .net.al and .mil.al local presence is still required.
Domestic trademark right: not required for obtaining domain name registration.
Domain name can be registered as a trademark: yes.
Registration, Protection
Duration: one to ten years.
Renewal/maintenance: one to ten years, renewable.
Dispute about ownership: to be brought before the court.
Uniform dispute resolution procedure: none.
