Protection

Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created. There is no Register of copyrighted works, however, a work may be deposited in Armauthor - www.armauthor.am (a non-governmental collective management organization where copyrighted objects can be deposited). The main purpose of the deposit is to provide evidence of the existence of the work or other subject matter over which authorship or ownership is claimed. 

Duration: during the lifetime of the author, plus 70 years after his death.
