Protection

Filing: no filing is required, but giving a specific date of the creation is advisable. 

Right to protection: belongs to the author. 

Employee’s software: the right belongs to the employer unless otherwise stipulated. 

Foreigners: the scope of protection of the rights of foreigners is the same as for nationals under the Geneva Convention. 

Originality: not required. 

Territory: the territory of Republic of Bulgaria. 

Duration: seventy years after the death of the author of the computer software in case it is known or seventy years after the date of disclosure of the work.
