Kosovo is not a member of any international conventions related to trade secrets.

Definition: a trade secret is information that meets the following requirements: (1) it is secret in the sense that it is not, as a body or in the precise configuration and assembly of its components, generally or readily accessible to persons within the circles that normally deal with the kind of information in question; (2) it has commercial value because it is secret; (3) it has been subject to reasonable steps under the circumstances, by the person lawfully in control of the information, to keep it secret.

Assignment - licensing: n.a.

Remedies for misappropriation: the seizure or delivery to the trade secret holder of the suspected infringing goods; the destruction of all or part of any document, item, material, substance or electronic file containing or embodying the trade secret; damages; a fine. The right to compensation for damages and legal actions related to misappropriation of trade secrets is six years from the moment when the trade secret holder becomes aware of the infringement, as well as the identity of the infringer.
