Protection

Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created.  

Duration: during the lifetime of the author, plus 70 years after his death; if the author is unknown, the protection is for 70 years after publication. For related rights the protection period is 50 years (the rights with respect to phonograms are under certain conditions protected for 70 years).
