Country code top-level domain name: .ru and .РФ  

Sub-domains: .com.ru; .info.ru; .biz.ru; .org.ru; .net.ru 

Applicant: individuals and legal entities. 

Restriction as to nationality: none. 

Local presence: not required. 

Domestic trademark right: not required for obtaining domain name registration. 

Domain name can be registered as a trademark: yes.

Registration, Protection

Duration: one year.

Renewal/maintenance: one year, renewable.

Information in the Registry: if the domain name Administrator is a physical person, his name is hidden. In this case, the Registrar can only reveal personal data of the domain name Administrator upon an advocate’s inquiry.

Transferability of rights to domain names: yes. 

Trademark collisions: it is prohibited to use a registered trademark on the Internet, including a domain name and other means of addressing without authorization of the trademark owner. The trademark must have earlier priority date than a domain name. Disputes are solved in courts.

Uniform dispute resolution procedure: none.
