Authority name: following the entry into force of the Swiss Ordinance on Internet Domains, the Swiss Education & Research Network (SWITCH), which is the Swiss domain name registration authority, stopped registering domain names as of January 1, 2015, and handed over client support to accredited Registrars participating in the transfer of existing domain names. These Registrars also proceed with the registration of new domain names.
