Sub-domains: .com.pr; .edu.pr; .gov.pr; .org.pr; .isla.pr; .net.pr; .pro.pr; .biz.pr; .info.pr; .name.pr; .prof.pr; .est.pr; .ac.pr; .coop.pr
Applicant: individuals and legal entities.
Restriction as to nationality: none.
Local presence: not required, except for .edu.pr, .prof.pr, .est.pr, and .ac.pr, which are restricted to educational institutions; .gov.pr, which is restricted to Puerto Rico government agencies and other similar entities; .isla.pr, which is restricted to residents of Puerto Rico; and .coop.pr, which is restricted to cooperatives.
Domestic trademark right: not required for obtaining domain name registration.
Domain name can be registered as a trademark: yes (subject to the Trademark Law and Regulations).
Registration, Protection
Duration: one or more years.
Renewal/maintenance: one or more years, renewable.
Dispute about ownership: generally, to be brought before the court; an administrative proceeding must be followed in certain disputes.
