New Plant Varieties

The Plant Protection Act No. 16 of 2005 has been passed and is now in effect. It is an Act to prevent the introduction and to control the spread of plant pests, to protect plant resources, to facilitate trade in plants and plant products, and to regulate matters related thereto. More information will be provided in a future release.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines acceded to the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV), 1991 Act, in force since March 22, 2021.
