Single letter domain names: any letter or number.
Applicant: individuals and legal entities.
Restriction as to nationality: none.
Local presence: not required.
Domestic trademark right: not required for obtaining domain name registration.
Domain name can be registered as a trademark: yes.
Registration, Protection
Duration: initial term: three years for all domain names.
Renewal/maintenance: renewable every three years from fourth year after registration for all domain names.
Dispute about ownership: to be brought before the court.
Uniform dispute resolution procedure: available (ICANN UDRP model) before WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center.
Other dispute providers: CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution; National Arbitration Forum; Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Center.
