There is no specific legislation although some regulations on the organization and management of country code top-level domain names do exist.

Country code top-level domain name: .my
Sub-domains: .mil.my; .com.my; .edu.my; .gov.my; .org.my; .net.my; .name.my; .coop.my; .biz.my
Applicant: individuals and legal entities.
Restriction as to nationality: none.
Local presence: required.
Domestic trademark right: not required for obtaining domain name registration.
Domain name can be registered as a trademark: yes.
Registration, Protection
Duration: one year.
Renewal/maintenance: one year, renewable.
Dispute about ownership: to be brought before the Court or under the auspices of the Malaysian Network Information Centre's (MYNIC) Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy and Rules. The domain name dispute resolution service is provided by the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), formerly known as the Kuala Lumpur Regional Center for Arbitration (KLRCA).
Uniform dispute resolution procedure: available (variation of UDRP) before the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC).
