Protection

Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created. 

Duration: (a) during the lifetime of the author, plus 70 years after his death; (b) for state-owned works, the protection period is 50 years from the date of the work's creation; (c) for music recordings, the protection period is 70 years from the date of its creation, however, if the recording's creator has not produced sufficient copies to be made available to the public, the period is 50 years.

Authority name: there is no official Copyright Register in Israel, however, the following organizations manage joint rights: ACUM (a non-profit organization administering the rights assigned to it by its members: authors, composers, lyricists, poets, arrangers and music publishers.
